I see you; do you see me?
A stylistic re-imagining of contemporary camouflage. Using motifs, textures and iconography usually found layered and stacked among Darren’s painted portals, I can see you is an edge to edge repeating pattern in monochrome.
The artwork wraps and drips around all sides to produce a full visual experience. In a playful and ironic twist, by using motifs tied with the rest of his practice, the camouflage element becomes redundant as the familiar forms present themselves. Allowing for a full celebratory experience bought to life in stark black and white.
