Portal

Portal is a collection of paintings that take imagination itself as their starting point.

Rather than depicting places or events, the works operate as windows into a mental space – where forms, colours, and symbols collide and coexist without fixed explanation. Shapes can feel impulsive and playful, but they are held together through balance, spacing and compositional control.

The paintings draw on the fearless, intuitive way children approach making. Colour and form are used freely, allowing the surface to remain open — a place where ideas emerge, overlap, and shift without hierarchy or instruction.

These works are not intended to be decoded. They function as thresholds, offering moments of pause and invitation. In spending time with them, the viewer is encouraged to slow down, follow instinct, and enter a space where imagination can move without constraint.
