The premise of Artist Support Pledge is that artists list 5 works for sale – for up to £200 each.

After all items are sold, the artist commits to buying a piece from another artist in the scheme.

Consequently, there’s no better time to start collecting art than now.

About the ASP

Artist Support Pledge offers affordable original artworks available directly from the studios of artists from around the world. Above all, it provides stability to an industry that has delivered so much value to our world during the Covid-19 crisis.

The initiative came from artist Matthew Burrows and began on 16 March 2020.

It’s really no surprise that it has grown to be a fantastic global movement of connected communities. All committed to an equitable and sustainable economy for artist and makers all over the world.

Artist Support Pledge – Leading by Example

Showing how a generous culture behaves and exploring the values that maintain its ethos. At it’s core is a commitment to equality. Firstly an equality of opportunity FOR ALL. And secondly, an accessible platform for all to participate.

The ethos behind the pledge:

The Pledge believes that an equitable and sustainable future economically and environmentally must begin. Therefore we must start by examining the cultural values we live by. Firstly, that artists are central to this debate. Secondly, that ALL artists are important in maintaining the permaculture that is our global artistic ecosystem. If one part suffers we all do.
